Western blot analysis of CERK in various lysates. Samples were incubated with CERK polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-13856) using a dilution of 1:1,000 followed by Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG, (H+L), Peroxidase conjugated at a dilution of 1:10,000. Lysates/proteins: 20 µg per lane. Lane 1: SH-SY5Y whole cell lysate; Lane 2: U-251 MG whole cell lysate; Lane 3: HL-60 whole cell lysate; Lane 4: Neuro-2a whole cell lysate. Predicted band size: 60 kDa. Blocking/Dilution buffer: 5% NFDM/TBST.

Target Information
CERK converts ceramide to ceramide 1-phosphate (C1P), a sphingolipid metabolite. Both CERK and C1P have been implicated in various cellular processes, including proliferation, apoptosis, phagocytosis, and inflammation (Kim et al., 2006 ).
