CRABP2 Antibody in Immunocytochemistry (ICC/IF) — Immunocytochemistry analysis of CRABP2 in HT29 cells. Samples were treated with PFA, permeabilized in 0.1% Triton X-100, blocked in 10% serum (45 min at 25°C), and incubated with polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-115048) at a dilution of 1:200 (1 hr at 37°C). Secondary staining was applied with Alexa Fluor 594 conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG (red) using a dilution of 1:600.

CRABP2 Antibody in Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin) (IHC (P)) — Immunohistochemistry analysis of CRABP2 in human esophageal cancer and adjacent normal tissues. Samples were treated with formaldehyde and treated with citrate buffer for antigen retrieval, blocked, and incubated (1.5 hours at 22°C) with polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-115048) at a dilution of 1:100. Secondary staining was applied with HRP conjugated anti-Rabbit.

Target Information

Cellular retinoic acid binding protein (CRABP) is a low molecular weight protein with unknown function and existing in two isoforms, CRABP1 and CRABP2. The predicted amino acid sequences of human CRABP1 and CRABP2 exhibits 99.3 and 93.5% identity to mouse CRABP1 and CRABP2, respectively. The CRABP2 isoform is important in retinoic acid-mediated regulation of human skin growth and differentiation. The CRABP2 gene localized on human chromosome 1q21.3 is transcriptionally regulated by a newly synthesized regulatory protein. The protein is expressed in human adult liver.
