CaMKK alpha Antibody (PA5-47635) in WB
Western blot analysis of CaMKK alpha in HeLa human cervical epithelial carcinoma cell line, CCD-1070Sk human foreskin fibroblast cell line, K562 human chronic myelogenous leukemia cell line, and human brain tissue. Samples were incubated in CaMKK alpha polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-47635) using a dilution of 1 µg/mL followed by a HRP-conjugated Anti-Sheep IgG secondary antibody. A specific band was detected for CaMKK alpha at approximately 68 kDa (as indicated).

This antibody detects endogenous human and rat CaMKK alpha in Western blots. In Western blots, this antibody does not cross-react with recombinant human CaMKK beta.
Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
CAMKK1 (CAMKKA) is a serine/threonine protein kinase family member, and belongs to the Ca2+/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase subfamily. The product of CaMKK alpha is a component of the nuclear factor of activated T cells DNA-binding transcription complex. This complex consists of at least two components: a preexisting cytosolic component that translocates to the nucleus upon T cell receptor (TCR) stimulation, and an inducible nuclear component. Proteins belonging to this family of transcription factors play a central role in inducible gene transcription during immune response. CAMKK1 functions as a major molecular target for the immunosuppressive drugs such as cyclosporin A. Five transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified for CaMKK alpha. Different isoforms of this protein may regulate inducible expression of different cytokine genes.
