PA5-29093 targets C9 in IF and WB applications and shows reactivity with Human and mouse samples.
The PA5-29093 immunogen is recombinant fragment corresponding to a region within amino acids 134 and 441 of Human C9.
Store product as a concentrated solution. Centrifuge briefly prior to opening the vial. For short-term storage (1-2 weeks), product can be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store product at -20° C or below, avioiding multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
This gene encodes the final component of the complement system. It participates in the formation of the Membrane Attack Complex (MAC). The MAC assembles on bacterial membranes to form a pore, permitting disruption of bacterial membrane organization. Mutations in this gene cause component C9 deficiency.
