FNIP1 Antibody (PA5-77778) in ICC/IF
Immunofluorescent analysis of FNIP1 in mouse C2C12 cells (mouse myoblast cell line). Sample was incubated with FNIP1 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-77778) using a dilution of 1:100 (1 hour at RT), and followed by Goat Anti-Mouse 488, Phalloidin Texas Red and DAPI secondary antibody at a dilution of 1:200 (1 hour at RT).

A 1:1,000 dilution of PA5-77778 was sufficient for detection of FNIP1 in 15 µg of mouse kidney cell lysates by ECL immunoblot analysis using goat anti-rabbit IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.|Detects approximately 130 kDa.
Target Information
FNIP1 encodes a protein that binds to the tumor suppressor protein folliculin and to AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK). The encoded protein participates in the regulation of cellular metabolism and nutrient sensing by modulating the AMPK and target of rapamycin signaling pathways. This gene has a closely related paralog that encodes a protein with similar binding activities. Both related proteins also associate with the molecular chaperone heat shock protein-90 (Hsp90) and negatively regulate its ATPase activity and facilitate its association with folliculin. Diseases associated with FNIP1 include Birt-Hogg-Dube Syndrome and Pleural Disease.
