          GDNF Antibody (PA1-18359) in IHC

mBio 2020 - FIG 6 GDNF mRNA and protein levels were significantly higher in the duodenum of rotavirus-infected mice. (A) The duodenum of infected ( n = 8) and noninfected ( n = 7) mouse pups were collected at 16 h p.i., and the Gdnf and TATA-binding protein ( Tbp ) mRNA levels were quantified using qPCR. There was significant upregulation of Gdnf mRNA in the infected mice. Data are means +- SEM. * , P < 0.05, unpaired ... Product Specific Information

Reconstitute in 100 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material. After reconstitution keep aliquots at -20 °C for a higher stability, and at 4 °C with an appropriate antibacterial agent. Glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid repetitive freeze/thaw cycles.

          Target Information

GDNF is a glycosylated, disulfide-bonded homodimer molecule. It was first discovered as a potent survival factor for midbrain dopaminergic neurons and was then shown to rescue these neurons in animal models of Parkinson's disease. GDNF is about 100 times more efficient survival factor for spinal motor neurons than the neurotrophins. GDNF is a neurotrophic factor that enhances survival and morphological differentiation of dopaminergic neurons and increases their high-affinity dopamine uptake.
