GM-CSF Antibody (PA5-47154) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry analysis of GM-CSF in immersion fixed canine peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) treated with Calcium Ionomycin and PMA. Samples were incubated in GM-CSF polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-47154) using a dilution of 15 µg/mL for 3 hours at room temperature followed by NorthernLights™ 557-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (red) and counterstained with DAPI (blue). Specific staining was localized to cytoplasm.

In Western blots, approximately 25% cross-reactivity with recombinant rat GM-CSF is observed, approximately 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant feline GM-CSF and recombinant porcine GM-CSF is observed, and less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant human GM-CSF and recombinant mouse GM-CSF is observed.
Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Endoxin level is <0.10 EU per 1 µg of the antibody by the LAL method.
Target Information
The GM-CSF gene encodes for a cytokine that regulates the production, differentiation, and function of macrophages and granulocytes. The active form of the protein exists as a homodimer in the extracellular space. This gene is located in a cluster of related genes at the chromosome region 5q31, which has been associated with interstitial deletions in the 5q- syndrome and acute myelogenous leukemia. Other genes in the cluster include interleukins 4, 5, and 13. The gene is involved in promoting tissue inflammation. Elevated levels of cytokines, including the one produced by this gene, have been observed in SARS-CoV-2 infected patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome. Mice that lack this gene or its receptor have been shown to develop pulmonary alveolar proteinosis.
