KGA Antibody in Immunocytochemistry (ICC/IF) — Immunofluorescent analysis of ( -20°C Ethanol ) fixed HEK-293 cells using 20170-1-AP (KGA-Specific antibody) at dilution of 1:50 and Alexa Fluor 488-conjugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Rabbit IGG (H+L).

KGA Antibody in Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin) (IHC (P)) — Immunohistochemistry of paraffin-embedded mouse kidney tissue slide using 20170-1-AP (KGA-Specific antibody) at dilution of 1:100 (under 40x lens) heat mediated antigen retrieved with Tris-EDTA buffer (pH 9).

KGA Antibody in Western Blot (WB) — Mouse brain tissue were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 20170-1-AP (KGA-Specific antibody) at dilution of 1:1000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours.

KGA Antibody in Immunoprecipitation (IP) — IP result of anti-KGA-Specific (IP:20170-1-AP, 3ug; Detection:20170-1-AP 1:800) with HEK-293 cells lysate 3200ug.

Target Information

Sahai (1983) demonstrated phosphate-activated glutaminase (EC 3.5.1.2) in human platelets. It is the major enzyme yielding glutamate from glutamine. Significance of the enzyme derives from its possible implication in behavior disturbances in which glutamate acts as a neurotransmitter(Prusiner, 1981). High heritability of platelet glutaminase was indicated by studies of Sahai and Vogel (1983) who found an intraclass correlation coefficient of 0.96 for monozygotic twins and 0.53 for dizygotic twins.
