LPL Antibody (PA5-47033) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry analysis of LPL in immersion fixed SH‚SY5Y human neuroblastoma cell line . Samples were incubated in LPL polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-47033) using a dilution of 10 µg/mL for 3 hours at room temperature followed by NorthernLights™ 557-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (red, upper panel) and counterstained with DAPI (blue, lower panel). Specific staining was localized to cell surfaces and cytoplasm.

This antibody detects human Lipoprotein Lipase/LPL in direct ELISAs and less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant human (rh) LIPG, rhLIPI, and rhPNLIPRP1 is observed.
Reconstitute in sterile PBS to a final concentration of 0.2 mg/mL.
Target Information
LPL encodes lipoprotein lipase, which is expressed in heart, muscle, and adipose tissue. LPL functions as a homodimer, and has the dual functions of triglyceride hydrolase and ligand/bridging factor for receptor-mediated lipoprotein uptake. Severe mutations that cause LPL deficiency result in type I hyperlipoproteinemia, while less extreme mutations in LPL are linked to many disorders of lipoprotein metabolism.
