          Product Specific Information

PA1-73178 is specific for Lipid A LPS. It is cross-reactive with numerous members of Enterobacteriaciae.

This antibody is a purified IgG fraction; purity level >95%.

Store at 2-8°C up to 6 months. For long term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C, avoiding freeze/thaw cycles.

          Target Information

LPS is chemically composed of a lipid part, which is responsible for the endotoxic activities of LPS, and a heteropolysaccharide which generally consists of an oligosaccharide, termed the core region, and, in some bacterial families, of the so-called O chain, composed of repeating oligosaccharide units. Lipid A is the glucosamine-based phospholipid which forms part of the bacterial outer membrane and anchors LPS to the surface of the bacteria.
