The epitope recognized by this antibody is reported to be sensitive to formaldehyde fixation and tissue processing. We recommend the use of acetone fixation for frozen sections. For FACS analysis, use 10 µL of the suggested working dilution to label 1x10^6 cells in 100 µL.
This product is a low-endotoxin, preservative-free formulation. Endotoxin level is <0.01EU/ug.
Rat anti Mouse Trem-1 antibody, clone L5-B8.2A12.3A12 recognizes mouse triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells 1 (TREM-1), a 30kD member of the immunoglobulin superfamily expressed on neutrophils and a subset of monocytes.
Target Information
TREM1 (triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells 1) is a receptor belonging to the Ig superfamily that amplifies neutrophil and monocyte-mediated inflammatory responses triggered by bacterial and fungal infections by stimulating release of pro-inflammatory chemokines and cytokines, as well as increased surface expression of cell activation markers. It is thought that TREM1 other related TREM proteins such as TREM2 act to modulate the inflammatory response. TREM1 has also been linked to inflammatory bowel disease resulting in enhanced production of TNF, IL-6, IL-8, and MCP-1.
