MDC1 Antibody (MA5-45285) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence analysis using mouse fibroblast cells. Fixation involved 4% Formaldehyde for 15 min at RT. Samples were incubated with MDC1 monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-45285) at 1:100 for 60 min at RT, followed by Goat Anti-Mouse ATTO 488 at 1:100 for 60 min at RT. Counterstain used was DAPI (blue) nuclear stain at 1:5,000 for 5 min RT. Localization: Nucleus. Magnification: 60X.

0.5 µg/mL of MA5-45285 was sufficient for detection of MDC1 in 10 µg of HeLa cell lysate by ECL immunoblot analysis.|Detects approximately 184kDa. This antibody recognizes MDC1 at and around the N-terminus.
Target Information
MDC1 participates in the early response to DNA damage. It is thought to be a member of the BRCT (BRCA1 C-terminus) super family of nuclear proteins. It contains an N-terminus forkhead-associated (FHA) motif, two C-terminus BRCT motifs and 13 internal repetitions of a 41 amino acid sequence.
