PA5-30530 targets MAT2B in IF and WB applications and shows reactivity with Human samples.
The PA5-30530 immunogen is recombinant protein fragment corresponding to a region within amino acids 131 and 310 of Human MAT2B.
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the methionine adenosyltransferase (MAT) family. MAT catalyzes the biosynthesis of S-adenosylmethionine from methionine and ATP. This protein is the regulatory beta subunit of MAT. Alternative splicing occurs at this locus and two transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified.
