Intact IgG appears on a non-reducing gel as ~150 kDa band and upon reduction generating a ~25 kDa light chain band and a ~50 kDa heavy chain.

MCP-2 (monocyte chemoattractant protein 2) belongs to the CC chemokine family. MCPs are chemotactic factor that attracts monocytes, lymphocytes, basophils and eosinophils. It is induced by IFN-gamma, mitogens, and IL1/interleukin-1. MCP-2 specifically attracts monocytes, but not neutrophils. High levels of MCP-2 are found in the small intestine, and peripheral blood cells. Intermediate levels are seen in the heart, placenta, lung, skeletal muscle, thymus, colon, ovary, spinal cord, and pancreas. Low levels are seen in the brain, liver, spleen, and prostate.
