Store lyophilized/reconstituted at -20°C; once reconstituted make aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Please remember to spin the tubes briefly prior to opening them to avoid any losses that might occur from material adhering to the cap or sides of the tube.
For reconstitution add 50 µL of sterile water.
Specific Species Reactivity: Arabidopsis thaliana
RCD1 encodes a nuclear protein that functions as an interaction hub integrating environmental and hormonal cues into transcriptional regulation. In Arabidopsis, RCD1 localizes predominantly to the nucleus and is built around an N-terminal WWE protein-protein interaction domain together with a central region resembling the core catalytic fold of poly(ADP-ribose) polymerases (PARP-like) and a conserved C-terminal region; consistent with this modular architecture, RCD1 binds numerous transcription factors from multiple families and engages many partners through short linear motifs within intrinsically disordered regions of those transcription factors. Functionally, genetic and physiological studies support that RCD1 modulates stress and development, including responses to reactive oxygen species and hormone signaling, and it can restrain specific NAC transcription factors (e.g., ANAC013/ANAC017) that mediate mitochondrial retrograde signaling, thereby coordinating chloroplast and mitochondrial redox-associated pathways and shaping the expression of stress-responsive nuclear genes.
