Protein arginylation is the post-translational addition of arginine to proteins by arginyltransferase ATE1. Arginylation of proteins has been found to play an essential role in physiological pathways during embryogenesis and adulthood. Arginylation has also been shown to regulate cell stress responses, including ER stress, cytosolic misfolded proteins, and heat stress.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
Protein Aliases: arg-tRNA-protein transferase; arg-tRNA-protein transferase 2; Arginyl-tRNA--protein transferase; Arginyl-tRNA--protein transferase 2; Arginyltransferase; Arginyltransferase 2; ATE1; ATE2; N terminal Arginine; N-terminal Arginine; R-transferase; R-transferase 2
