SCYL2 Antibody in Western Blot (WB) — **Detection of human SCYL2 by western blot of immunoprecipitates.** *Samples:* Whole cell lysate (0.5 or 1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from HeLa cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. *Antibodies:* Affinity purified rabbit anti-SCYL2 antibody A304-880A (lot A304-880A-1) used for IP at 6 µg per reaction. SCYL2 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-SCYL2 antibody A300-879A. For blotting immunoprecipitated SCYL2, A304-880A was used at 0.4 µg/ml. *Detection:* Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.

Target Information

SCYL2 is a component of AP2-containing clathrin coated structures at the plasma membrane or of endocytic coated vesicles. SCYL2 is a probable serine/threonine-protein kinase that phosphorylates, in vitro, the beta2-subunit of the plasma membrane adapter complex AP2 and other proteins in presence of poly-L-lysine. SCYL2 may also regulate clathrin-dependent trafficking between the TGN and/or the endosomal system.
