SP2 Antibody in Immunocytochemistry (ICC/IF) — Immunocytochemistry-Immunofluorescence analysis of SP2 was performed in HeLa cells fixed in 4% paraformaldehyde at RT for 15 min. Green: SP2 Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-35984) diluted at 1:1000. Blue: Hoechst 33342 staining. Scale bar = 10 µm.

SP2 Antibody in Western Blot (WB) — Western Blot using SP2 Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-35984). Various whole cell extracts (30 µg) were separated by 7.5% SDS-PAGE, and the membrane was blotted with SP2 Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-35984) diluted at 1:1,000. The HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG antibody was used to detect the primary antibody.

Target Information

This gene encodes a member of the Sp subfamily of Sp/XKLF transcription factors. Sp family proteins are sequence-specific DNA-binding proteins characterized by an amino-terminal trans-activation domain and three carboxy-terminal zinc finger motifs. This protein contains the least conserved DNA-binding domain within the Sp subfamily of proteins, and its DNA sequence specificity differs from the other Sp proteins. It localizes primarily within subnuclear foci associated with the nuclear matrix, and can activate or in some cases repress expression from different promoters.
