Western blot analysis of SPARC using SPARC Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-95441). Electrophoresis was performed on a 5-20% SDS-PAGE gel at 70V (Stacking gel)/90V (Resolving gel) for 2-3 hours. Human SPARC shares 97% amino acid (aa) sequence identity with both mouse and rat SPARC.
Reconstitute with 0.2 mL of distilled water to yield a concentration of 500 µg/mL.
Positive Control - WB: human HUVEC whole cell, human placenta tissue, human A375 whole cell, human U20S whole cell, human U87 whole cell, rat testis tissue, rat kidney tissue, mouse testis tissue, mouse kidney tissue.|Store at -20°C for one year from date of receipt. Target Information
SPARC gene encodes a cysteine-rich acidic matrix-associated protein. The encoded protein is required for the collagen in bone to become calcified but is also involved in extracellular matrix synthesis and promotion of changes to cell shape. The gene product has been associated with tumor suppression but has also been correlated with metastasis based on changes to cell shape which can promote tumor cell invasion. Three transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
