SSTR2 Antibody (PA3-16736) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry analysis of SSTR2 in U2OS cells. Samples were incubated with SSTR2 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA3-16736) using a dilution of 1:50 followed by anti-rabbit Dylight 488 (Green) at a dilution of 1:500. Cells were fixed for 10 minutes using 10% formalin and then permeabilized for 5 minutes using 1X PBS + 0.05% Triton X-100. Nuclei were counterstained with DAPI (Blue). Cells were imaged using a 40X objective.

Target Information
SSTR2 (somatostatin receptor 2) is a member of the superfamily of receptors having seven transmembrane segments and is expressed in highest levels in the cerebrum and kidney. Somatostatin acts at many sites to inhibit the release of many hormones and other secretory proteins. The receptor is coupled via pertussis toxin sensitive G proteins to inhibit adenylyl cyclase.
