DPPa3 (stella-related protein) is a stem cell marker protein which is restricted to pluripotent human embryonic stem cells, premeiotic germ lineage cells and testicular germ cell tumor cells. Otherwise known as 'developmental pluripotency-associated protein 3,' it is expressed in primordial germ cells, Oocytes, preimplantation embryos and pluripotent cells. This protein has a SAP-like domain and a splicing factor motif-like structure, suggesting possible roles in chromosomal organization or RNA processing.
