Immunofluorescent analysis of TBX6 showing staining in the nucleus of Hela cells using a TBX6 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-35102) followed by detection using a fluorescent conjugated secondary antibody (green). Cytoplasmic actin was stained with a fluorescent red phalloidin (7units/ml, 1 h at 37°C). Nuclei were stained with DAPI (blue) (10 ug/ml, 10 min).

This antibody is predicted to react with bovine and rat based on sequence homology.
This gene is a member of a phylogenetically conserved family of genes that share a common DNA-binding domain, the T-box. T-box genes encode transcription factors involved in the regulation of developmental processes. Knockout studies in mice indicate that this gene is important for specification of paraxial mesoderm structures.
