PA1-20639 detects TNIK in Human samples.
PA1-20639 has been successfully used in Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin), Western blot, and IF/ICC procedures. Suggested positive controls for this product are heart, skeletal muscle and brain.
PA1-20639 immunogen corresponds to a synthetic peptide with a proprietary sequence.
Store product as a concentrated solution. Centrifuge briefly prior to opening the vial. For short-term storage (1-2 weeks), product can be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store product at -20° C or below, avioiding multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
TNIK is a MSN protein kinase that interacts with both TNF receptor-associated factor 2 (TRAF2) and the adapter protein NCK. The protein has been shown to activate the c-Jun N-terminal kinase pathway when overexpressed in Phoenix-A cells. TNIK has been shown to phosphorylate gelsolin, the principal intracellular and extracellular actin-severing protein, in vitro. This and evidence from mutational studies suggest that TNIK functions in the regulation of the cytoskeleton.
