TOP1 Antibody in Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin) (IHC (P)) — Immunohistochemical staining of paraffin-embedded human lymph node tissue within the normal limits using anti-TOP1 mouse monoclonal antibody. (Heat-induced epitope retrieval by 1mM EDTA in 10mM Tris buffer (pH8.5) at 120°C for 3 min, TA809934)(1:500).

TOP1 Antibody in Western Blot (WB) — HEK293T cells were transfected with the pCMV6-ENTRY control (Left lane) or pCMV6-ENTRY TOP1 (RC215658, Right lane) cDNA for 48 hrs and lysed. Equivalent amounts of cell lysates (5 µg per lane) were separated by SDS-PAGE and immunoblotted with anti-TOP1. (1. Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, we recommend adding 100 µL distilled water to a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL. To use this carrier-free antibody for conjugation experiments, we strongly recommend performing another round of desalting. (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7KMWCO, 0.5 mL, Product # 89882)

Target Information

This gene encodes a DNA topoisomerase, an enzyme that controls and alters the topologic states of DNA during transcription. This enzyme catalyzes the transient breaking and rejoining of a single strand of DNA which allows the strands to pass through one another, thus altering the topology of DNA. This gene is localized to chromosome 20 and has pseudogenes which reside on chromosomes 1 and 22.
