PA1-18307 detects AP-1 complex subunit beta-1 from human and rat samples.
PA1-18307 has been successfully used in immunohistochemistry (paraffin and frozen) and Western blot procedures. Antigen retrieval has been used in testing but may not be necessary.
The PA1-18307 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to the N-terminal residues C-K(11) K G E I F E L K A E L N S D K K E K(29) of human AP-1 complex subunit beta-1, conjugated to diphtheria toxin. The sequence is 100% conserved in mouse, rat and bovine.
Reconstitute with 100 µL of distilled water. Glycerol (1:1) may be added for additional stability.
AP-1 complex subunit beta-1 is a subunit of clathrin-associated adaptor protein complex 1 that plays a role in protein sorting in the late-Golgi/trans-Golgi network (TGN) and/or endosomes. The AP complexes mediate both the recruitment of clathrin to membranes and the recognition of sorting signals within the cytosolic tails of transmembrane cargo molecules.
