The Human CD5L (CD5 Antigen-like) ELISA quantitates CD5L in serum and plasma.
Principle of the method
The Human CD5 Antigen-like (CD5L) solid-phase sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) is designed to measure the concentration of CD5 Antigen-like (CD5L) in biological samples. A target-specific antibody has been pre-coated in the wells of the supplied microplate. Samples, standards, or controls are added into these wells and bind to the immobilized (capture) antibody.
The sandwich complex is formed by the addition of a second (HRP-linked) detection antibody specific to CD5 Antigen-like (CD5L). Excess reagents are washed from the plate.
A substrate solution is added that reacts with the enzyme-antibody-target complex to produce a measurable signal. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution. The intensity of the signal, measured spectrophotometrically at 450 ± 2 nm, is directly proportional to the concentration of CD5 Antigen-like (CD5L) present in the original specimen.

CD5L, also known as CD5 antigen-like, is a protein that is expressed on the surface of various immune cells, including T cells, B cells, and natural killer cells.
