AA Sequence of recombinant protein: MYAEHKSHRG EYSVCDSESL WVTDKSSAID IRGHQVTVLG EIKTGNSPVK QYFYETRCKE ARPVKNGCRG IDDKHWNSQC KTSQTYVRAL TSENNKLVGW RWIRIDTSCV CALSRKIGRT.
Preparation: Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human NT-3. Anti-Human NT-3-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing an immobilized Human NT-3 matrix.
Sandwich ELISA: To detect Human NT-3 by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.5-2.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required. This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Human NT-3 (500-P82Bt) as a detection antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human NT-3.
Western Blot: To detect Human NT-3 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1-0.2 µg/mL. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for Recombinant Human NT-3 is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the neurotrophin family, that controls survival and differentiation of mammalian neurons. This protein is closely related to both nerve growth factor and brain-derived neurotrophic factor. It may be involved in the maintenance of the adult nervous system, and may affect development of neurons in the embryo when it is expressed in human placenta. NTF3-deficient mice generated by gene targeting display severe movement defects of the limbs. The mature peptide of this protein is identical in all mammals examined including human, pig, rat and mouse.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
