The VetMAX African Swine Fever Virus I177L DIVA Reagents kit contains a single tube with the primer/probes and master mix needed for a qPCR assay targeting the ASFV-GΔI177L recombinant vaccine. It offers rapid testing and can be used as a reflex assay to differentiate infected animals from animals vaccinated with ASFV- GΔI177L recombinant vaccine after screening for African Swine Fever with the VetMAX African Swine Fever Virus Detection Kit (Cat. No. A28809). Positive controls for the assay are available separately (Cat. No. A59394).

Features of VetMAX African Swine Fever Virus I177L DIVA Reagents include:
• Ready-to-use master mix
• Specific design for ASFV- GΔI177L recombinant vaccine
• Express assay run time (∼1 hour)
• Can be run simultaneously with the VetMAX African Swine Fever Virus Detection Kit

African swine fever is a highly contagious viral disease of pigs and wild boars. African swine fever virus outbreaks spread rapidly in pig populations through direct contact and the bite of infected soft tick species. Outbreaks cause commerce disruption resulting in severe economic losses in pig-producing countries. Newly approved vaccines are now deployed in some pig production countries. Rapid differentiation of infected vs vaccinated animals (DIVA) by PCR is fundamental to control the disease.
