MA1-25908 detects Cytomegalovirus from infected human cell samples. This antibody contains a mixture of anti-CMV clones DDG9 & CCH2.
MA1-25908 has been successfully used in immunohistochemistry and Western blot procedures.
The MA1-25908 immunogen is Cytomegalovirus-infected cell lysate.
Target Information
Cytomegalovirus (CMV) is an opportunistic pathogen infecting lung, kidney, gut and other organs in situations where an individual is immunologically immature, such as the foetus and neonate. Infection also occurs in immunosuppressed patients e.g. transplant patients, patients undergoing chemotherapy and those with HIV infection. Cytomegalovirus is an enveloped double stranded DNA virus which in humans (HCMV) is commonly known as human herpesvirus 5 (HHV-5).
