AKT3 Antibody (MA5-37477) in IHC (P)
Immunohistochemistry analysis of AKT3 in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded human brain tissue. Samples were incubated with AKT3 monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-37477) followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry. Clinical relevance has not been evaluated.

Target Information
AKT3 (PKB gamma) has been shown to be stimulated by platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), insulin, and insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF1). It is involved in a wide variety of biological processes including cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, tumorigenesis, glycogen synthesis and glucose uptake. They are involved in a wide variety of biological processes including cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, tumorigenesis, as well as glycogen synthesis and glucose uptake. This kinase has been shown to be stimulated by platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), insulin, and insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF1). Alternatively splice transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been described.
