Western blot analysis of SSTR2 in various lysates. Samples were incubated with SSTR2 Recombinant monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-51211) using a dilution of 1:1,000 followed by HRP Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) secondary antibody at a dilution of 1:10,000. Lysates/proteins: 25 µg per lane. Blocking buffer: 3% nonfat dry milk in TBST. Detection: ECL Basic Kit. Exposure time: 90s.

Target Information
SSTR2 (somatostatin receptor 2) is a member of the superfamily of receptors having seven transmembrane segments and is expressed in highest levels in the cerebrum and kidney. Somatostatin acts at many sites to inhibit the release of many hormones and other secretory proteins. The receptor is coupled via pertussis toxin sensitive G proteins to inhibit adenylyl cyclase.
