Orexin B Antibody (MA5-58091) in WB
Western blot analysis of Orexin B in wild type (WT) and 293F cell lysates transfected with Orexin B (20 µg/lane). Samples were incubated overnight at 4°C with Orexin B Recombinant Monoclonal Antibody (Product # MA5-58092) using a dilution of 1:1, 000. Followed by a secondary antibody at 1:10,000 dilution. Blocking buffer: 3% nonfat dry milk in TBST; Exposure: 90 seconds.

Target Information
Orexin B is a neuropeptides that play a significant role in the regulation of food intake and sleep-wakefulness, possibly by coordinating the complex behavioral and physiologic responses of these complementary homeostatic functions. A broader role in the homeostatic regulation of energy metabolism, autonomic function, hormonal balance and the regulation of body fluids, is also suggested. Orexin-A binds to both OX1R and OX2R with a high affinity, whereas orexin-B binds only to OX2R with a similar high affinity.
