VIP Antibody (MA5-58175) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry analysis of VIP using 293T cells. The cells were incubated using 1:200 dilution with VIP Recombinant Monoclonal Antibody (Product # MA5-58176) (100x lens). Followed by further incubation with Cy3-conjugated Goat anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) using a 1:500 dilution (Red). DAPI was used for nuclear staining (Blue).

Target Information
VIP encodes a protein that belongs to the glucagon family. It stimulates myocardial contractility, causes vasodilation, increases glycogenolysis, lowers arterial blood pressure and relaxes the smooth muscle of trachea, stomach and gall bladder. Alternative splicing occurs at this locus and two transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified.
