Target Information
The cleaved N-terminal fragment of GSDME is the active pore-forming domain generated after caspase-mediated cleavage. This fragment oligomerizes in the plasma membrane to form pores, leading to cell swelling, membrane rupture, release of inflammatory mediators, and execution of pyroptotic cell death.
