AMID Antibody (PA5-103183) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry analysis of AMID in Hela cells. The samples were fixed with PFA and permeabilized in 0.1% Triton X-100, then blocked in 10% serum for 45 minutes at 25°C. Samples were incubated with AMID polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-103183) and mouse anti-beta tubulin antibody for 1 hour at 37°C. An AlexaFluor594 conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG (Red) and an AlexaFluor488 conjugated goat anti-mouse IgG (Green) were used as the secondary antibodies. The nuclear counter stain is DAPI (blue).

Target Information
The p53 tumor suppressor protein induces cell cycle arrest or apoptosis in response to cellular stresses. PRG3 (p53-responsive gene 3), is induced specifically under p53-dependent apoptotic conditions in human colon cancer cells. PRG3 has significant homology to bacterial oxidoreductases and the apoptosis-inducing factor, AIF. Unlike AIF, PRG3 localizes in the cytoplasm and its ectopic expression induces apoptosis. The PRG3 gene is thus a novel p53 target gene in a p53-dependent apoptosis pathway.
