Western blot analysis of NUP205 in extracts of various cell lines. Samples were incubated with NUP205 Polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-116835) using a dilution of 1:1,000, followed by HRP Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) at a dilution of 1:10,000. Lysates/proteins: 25 µg per lane. Blocking buffer: 3% nonfat dry milk in TBST. Detection: ECL Basic Kit. Exposure time: 30s.

This gene encodes a nucleoporin, which is a subunit of the nuclear pore complex that functions in active transport of proteins, RNAs and ribonucleoprotein particles between the nucleus and cytoplasm. Mutations in this gene are associated with steroid-resistant nephrotic syndrome.
