Western blot analysis of Hepatitis C Virus NS2 in Non-infected (-) and HCV JFH-1 strain-infected (+) Huh7 whole cell extracts (30 µg). Samples were separated with 12% SDS-PAGE and incubated in Hepatitis C Virus NS2 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-117340) using a dilution of 1:1,000.

Target Information
Nonstructural protein 2 (NS2) is a viral protein found in the hepatitis C virus. It is also produced by influenza viruses, and is alternatively known as the nuclear export protein (NEP). Hepatitis C is a liver disease caused by the hepatitis C virus (HCV): the virus can cause both acute and chronic hepatitis, ranging in severity from a mild illness lasting a few weeks to a serious, lifelong illness. Hepatitis C is a major cause of liver cancer.
