Western blot was performed using ITGB8 Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-76390) and a 86 kDa band corresponding to ITGB8 was observed in HaCa T and absent in LNCaP. Membrane extracts (30 µg lysate) of HaCa T (Lane 1) and LNCaP (Lane 2) were electrophoresed using NuPAGE® 4-12 % Bis-Tris gel (Product # NP0322BOX). The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
ITGB8 (Integrin beta 8) is a member of the integrin beta chain family and is a single-pass type I membrane protein with a VWFA domain and four cysteine-rich repeats. This protein noncovalently binds to an alpha subunit to form a heterodimeric integrin complex. In general, integrin complexes mediate cell-cell and cell-extracellular matrix interactions and this complex plays a role in human airway epithelial proliferation. Alternatively spliced variants which encode different protein isoforms have been described; however, not all variants have been fully characterized.
