EVI1 Antibody (PA5-80807) in ICC/IF
Immunofluorescence staining of EVI1 in Hela cells. Cells were fixed with 4% PFA, permeabilzed with 0.3% Triton X-100 in PBS, blocked with 10% serum, and incubated with EVI1 Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-80807, 1:1,000) at 4°C overnight. Then cells were stained with the Alexa Fluor®594-conjugated Goat Anti-rabbit IgG secondary antibody (red) and counterstained with DAPI (blue). Positive staining was localized to nucleus.

This antibody has specificity for Human MECOM.
Target Information
EVI1 (MECOM) is a transcriptional regulator and oncoprotein that may be involved in hematopoiesis, apoptosis, development, cell differentiation, and proliferation. It can interact with CTBP1, SMAD3, CREBBP, KAT2B, MAPK8, and MAPK9. The EVI1 gene can undergo translocation with the AML1 gene, resulting in overexpression of the EVI1 gene and the onset of leukemia. Several transcript variants encoding a few different isoforms have been found for this gene.
