Western Blot using MRE11 Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-80825) at 1:500 dilution. Lane A: HeLa Whole Cell Lysate, Lane B: Jurkat Whole Cell Lysate, Lane C: A431 Whole Cell Lysate, Lane D: K562 Whole Cell Lysate. Lysates/proteins at 30 μg per lane. Secondary Goat Anti- RabbitIgG H&L (DyLight™ 800) at 1:10,000 dilution. Developed using the Odyssey technique. Performed under reducing conditions. Predicted band size: 81 kDa. Observed band size: 90 kDa. (We are unsure of the identity of these extra bands).

This antibody has specificity for Human MRE11.
Target Information
MRE11 (double-strand break repair protein MRE11) is a component of the MRN complex. This complex plays a central role in double-strand break repair, DNA recombination, maintenance of telomere integrity and meiosis. The complex possesses single-stranded endonuclease activity and double-strand-specific 3'-5' exonuclease activity which are provided by MRE11. RAD50 is required to bind DNA ends and hold them in close proximity. Mutations in the gene could result in ataxia-telangiectasia-like disorder 1.
