Western Blot using Cathepsin S Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-81369) at 1:500 dilution. Lane A: RAW264.7 Whole Cell Lysate. Lysates/proteins at 30 μg per lane. Secondary Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG H&L (DyLight™ 800) at 1:10,000 dilution. Developed using the Odyssey technique. Performed under reducing conditions. Predicted band size: 37 kDa. Observed band size: 25 kDa. (We are unsure of the identity of these extra bands).

Target Information
The protein CTSS, a member of the peptidase C1 family, is a lysosomal cysteine proteinase that may participate in the degradation of antigenic proteins to peptides for presentation on MHC class II molecules. The protein can function as an elastase over a broad pH range in alveolar macrophages.
