SLIRP Antibody (PA5-90529) in IHC (P)
Immunohistochemistry analysis of SLIRP in paraffin-embedded human colon carcinoma. Samples were incubated with SLIRP Polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-90529) using a dilution of 1:100 (40x lens). Perform microwave antigen retrieval with 10 mM PBS buffer pH 7.2 before commencing with IHC staining protocol.

Target Information
SLIRP (SRA stem-loop interacting RNA binding protein) is expressed in normal and tumor tissues, but the majority of the endogenous SLIRP resides in the mitochondria. SLIRP may regulate mitochondrial functions and has the potential to shut down estrogen in breast cancer cells and testosterone in prostate cancer cells. SLIRP has also been shown to turn down genes involved in energy metabolism.
