Product Specific Information

Reconstitute with 0.2 mL of distilled water to yield a concentration of 500 µg/mL.

Positive Control - WB: human Hela whole cell, human MCF-7 whole cell, human COLO-320 whole cell, human U-87MG whole cell, rat brain tissue, rat liver tissue, mouse brain tissue, mouse liver tissue. IHC: human colon cancer tissue, human lung cancer tissue, human mammary cancer tissue.|Store at -20°C for one year from date of receipt. After reconstitution, at 4°C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20°C for six months. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Target Information

MRE11 (double-strand break repair protein MRE11) is a component of the MRN complex. This complex plays a central role in double-strand break repair, DNA recombination, maintenance of telomere integrity and meiosis. The complex possesses single-stranded endonuclease activity and double-strand-specific 3'-5' exonuclease activity which are provided by MRE11. RAD50 is required to bind DNA ends and hold them in close proximity. Mutations in the gene could result in ataxia-telangiectasia-like disorder 1.
