This peptide corresponds to 18 amino acids near the amino terminus of human Norrin.
PEP-0836 can be used as a blocking peptide with polyclonal antibody PA5-20722.
NDP (Norrie disease protein), also known as norrin, is a secreted signaling protein encoded by the NDP gene that activates the canonical Wnt/β-catenin pathway by binding the Frizzled-4 (FZD4)/LRP5 receptor complex. It plays an essential role in retinal vascular development, maintenance of the blood-retina barrier, and inner ear vascularization. Loss-of-function variants in NDP cause Norrie disease and can also contribute to familial exudative vitreoretinopathy (FEVR).
