This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-66044. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
Target Information
NEK6 kinase is a member of the NEK family. NEK6 is a serine/threonine kinase that controls the initiation of mitosis and is required for the metaphase-anaphase transition. The Aspergillus nidulans 'never in mitosis A' (NIMA) gene encodes a serine/threonine kinase that controls initiation of mitosis. NIMA-related kinases (NEKs) are a group of protein kinases that are homologous to NIMA. Evidence suggests that NEKs perform functions similar to those of NIMA. NEK6 encodes a NEK type protein kinase, which contains a C-terminal NIMA-like catalytic domain.
