This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-58407. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a sorting nexin that is found in the cytoplasm, where it interacts with membrane-bound phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate. The encoded protein may play a role in intracellular trafficking. Two transcript variants, one protein-coding and the other not protein-coding, have been found for this gene.
