          CRHR1 Antibody (702611) in ICC/IF

For immunocytochemistry analysis, HEK 293 cells stably transfected with CRHR1 were grown on poly-L-lysine-coated coverslips overnight. Cells were then treated with 1 µM Corticotropin releasing hormone for 30 min, washed with PBS and fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde and 0.2% picric acid in phosphate buffer (pH 6.9) for 30 min at room temperature and washed several times with phosphate buffer. Specimens were permeabilized with ice-cold methanol and then incubated with Anti-CRHR1 Recombinant Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (Product # 702611, 1 µg/mL... Product Specific Information

This antibody is predicted to react with Monkey, Dog, Pig, Rabbit.

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning in the specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Then, individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production. The advantages of using recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies include: better specificity and sensitivity, lot-to-lot consistency, animal origin-free formulations, and broader immunoreactivity to diverse targets due to larger rabbit immune repertoire.

          Target Information

Corticotropin-releasing factor receptor 1 (CRFR1/CRHR1), a Corticotropin-Releasing Factor Receptor, is involved in mediating the stress response and anxiety-related behaviors. Mutations of the receptor reduce anxiety-related behaviors and may be involved in the pathogenesis of Cushing disease. Multiple isoforms of CRFR1 are produced by alternative splicing. CRFR1 has been reported to be expressed in the pituitary, adrenal gland, brain, colon, ovary, placenta, testis, white blood cells, and skin. ESTs have been isolated from human brain, eye, colon, and embryo libraries.
