Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (73%), Rat (73%).
This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-66487. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
CLK1 is a dual specificity kinase that phosphorylates PTP-1B and members of the SR family of splicing factors. It is thought to be involved in neuronal differentiation and mRNA splicing. Therefore, the encoded protein may play an indirect role in governing splice site selection.
