Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (89%), Rat (89%).
This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-65876. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
GLD2 is cytoplasmic poly(A) RNA polymerase that adds successive AMP monomers to the 3'-end of specific RNAs, forming a poly(A) tail. In contrast to the canonical nuclear poly(A) RNA polymerase, it only adds poly(A) to selected cytoplasmic mRNAs. GLD2 does not play a role in replication-dependent histone mRNA degradation.
