This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-57654. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
PCBD2 (Pterin-4-alpha-carbinolamine dehydratase 2) is also named DCOH2, DCOHM and belongs to the pterin-4-alpha-carbinolamine dehydratase family. It is involved in tetrahydrobiopterin biosynthesis and it seems to both prevent the formation of 7-pterins and accelerate the formation of quinonoid-BH2. PCBD2 also regulates the dimerization of homeodomain protein HNF-1-alpha and enhances its transcriptional activity.
